By: Ed Weaver  /  October 4, 2008

The Wellsboro Hornets traveled to Towanda to take on the Black Knights Friday October 3. Towanda jumped out in front of the Hornets early and took a 25-0 lead into halftime. Wellsboro was able to avoid the shutout as Sophomore Running Back Ryan Moss scored first for the Hornets after a long setup run by Senior Running Back Jake Coolidge.

On the next possession, Senior Fullback Pat Driebelbies broke a long run down the Wellsboro sidelines and took the ball inside the Towanda 20-yard line. Junior Fullback Aaron Moss finished the drive with 2 carries and punched the ball in from the one-yard line. With the loss, Wellsboro falls to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the NTL Large School Division.
