By: Ed Weaver  /  October 10, 2009

On a wet and rainy night, the Towanda Black Knights defeated the Wellsboro Hornets 40-7, improving to 6-0 and dropping the Hornets to 1-5 on the year. Towanda went up 14-0 in the first half, as Dakota Roof scored on runs of 24 and two yards.

Towanda added four scores in the second half, two in each quarter on two 6 yard runs from Travis Chesla and a 17 yard run and nine yard reception from Kodi Thompson. The Hornets will be in action next Friday night as they travel to Athens to face to Wildcats. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
