The Wellsboro Middle School girls bball team picked up their fourth straight win as they defeated Towanda 40-28 tonight in Wellsboro. Sarah Ingerick and Alexa Singer scored 12 points each, with Ingerick adding 5 steals and Singer adding 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 assists. Darci Warriner chipped in 6 points and 3 rebounds. Jada Jackson pulled down 6 rebounds and added 4 points, while teammate Brynn Ripley grabbed 3 rebounds along with 2 points.

Other contributing teammates included; Stephanie Leister: 3 assists, Emma Eccher: 2 points and 2 steals, Raisa Rogers: 2 points and 1 steal, Jenny Young: 3 steals, and Joey Taft: 2 steals.

"It was a well played game for our team tonight. Our girls really made a statement against a solid Towanda team," said head coach Darrell Morris. "We jumped out to an early 16-5 lead in the first quarter and continued to play good team defense and rebound well throughout the game. I am very excited about how balanced our team has been lately. Other teams can't just key on one player, because we have 10 girls who can all play."

In the B-Team game, the Hornets fell to Towanda, 17-12.

With the win, the team pushes their season record to 12-2. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, March 27, as they host North Penn.
