Freshman Jordan Butters recorded a double and scored Wellsboro's only run in the frist inning. Freshmen Baylea Lehman and Paige Carr had the other hits for the Hornets.

Sophomore Maggie Smith started on the mound, and recorded her seventh loss of the year. She allowed five hits while striking out one and walking two. Sophomore Brooke Kohler came on in relief to strike out four while allowing five hits and one walk.

With the loss the Hornets finish the 2012 season with a 12-8 (7-3 NTL West) record.
