Volleyball team falls to Wyalusing

The Wellsboro Varsity volleyball team continued their league skid by losing a tough match to Wyalusing in 5 games Tuesday night.

The Lady Hornets tooks the first two games 26-24 and 25-22, but ended up dropping the next three (25-19, 25-21, 15-10) to suffer the loss.

Junior Danielle Mihalik led the team with 13 kills, Junior Peyton Wilson had 13 assists, Senior Julia Waters scored 12 points, Senior Katie Straniere had 42 digs, and Junior Jordan Butters recored 3 blocks.

In the J.V. match, the Lady Hornets won 2-1 (25-12, 24-26, 15-9).

With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 4-4 (0-4 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Thursday, September 26 as they host Athens.
