Kendrick shoots 82, Hornets sixth at Shepard Hills

The Wellsboro golf team opened the 2014 season on the road at Shepard Hills with a score of 418 and a sixth place finish.

Athens won the event with a team score of 349, Mansfield took second at 372, followed by Towanda at 378 and Sayre at the same score. Sayre was fourth, Northern Tioga was fifth at 398, and Northeast Bradford finished seventh at 448.

Senior Brett Kendrick paced the Hornets with an 82. Freshman Aidan Moore shot 105, Junior Ryan Reese shot 108, Freshman Kyle Reese shot 123, Junior Charles Graner shot 125, and Junior Stone Alexander shot a 130.

The Hornets begin the 2014 season with a 1-5 (1-5 NTL) record. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, August 26 as they travel to Westfield to play at River Valley Country Club.
