Lady Hornets fall to CV in first round of Districts

The Wellsboro Girls Tennis team's season came to an end with a 4-0 loss to Cowanesque Valley in the first round of District IV playoffs at Bloomsburg University on Tuesday, October 11.

Singles Results

Cheyenne Gehringer def. Joelle Quimby 6-0, 6-0
Morgan Cady def. Kristen Bair 6-1, 6-2

Doubles Results

Jaqueline Stiles/Ashley Wattles def. Morgan Guthrie/Faith Kennedy 6-3, 6-2
Brynn Williams/Patty Wattles def. Georgia Macensky/Abigail Colton 6-2, 6-2

The loss ends the Lady Hornets' season at 8-7 (3-3 NTL). The doubles teams of Ryan/Guthrie and Quimby/Kennedy will be in action in District IV doubles.
