The Wellsboro Varsity Boys Soccer team kept rolling in a 4-0 win over Northeast Bradford on Monday, October 16.

It took the Hornets midway through the first half to get on the scoreboard, but they quickly scored three goals in eight minutes.

Junior Brett Rudy scored the game's first goal on a corner kick by senior Gabe Leach in the 20th minute. Four minutes later senior Tanner Runyan scored off a big kick from senior Nic Ingerick to make it 2-0. Then again in the 28th minute, senior Johnny Rowland scored the first of his two goals off a Runyan assist to put Wellsboro up 3-0 before the first half ended.

Rowland later scored in the 61st minute on another Leach assist.

Wellsboro outshot NEB 17-4 and edged them 5-3 in corner kicks. Junior Nate Redell stopped all 4 shots in goal.

Wellsboro's JV team also picked up a shutout, winning 1-0 on an unassited goal by freshman Joseph Grab to improve to 9-1.

The win improves the Varsity team's record to 15-0-1 (11-0-1 NTL) and keeps the Hornets tied with Athens in the league standings.

Wellsboro will be back in action on Wednesday, October 18 for Senior Night against Northern Potter before traveling to Athens on Thursday the 19th.
