Hornets swimmers post strong times against Athens, Towanda

The Wellsboro Swim Team kicked off their 2017-18 season as they participated against Athens and Towanda at Towanda on Monday, December 18.

Senior Connor Brought swam a District IV qualifying time of 2:03.52 in the 200 Freestyle and sophomore Brennan Warner swam a District IV qualifying time of 2:30.71 in the 200 IM. Both also qualified in the 100 Breaststroke. Brought swam 1:11.68 and Warner clocked a 1:14.16.

For the girls senior Kaitlyne Kramer swam 1:01.55 in the 100 Freestyle and 28.07 in the 50 Freestyle to qualify for districts, sophomore Cathryn Brought posted a 58.54 in the 100 Freestyle and 26.61 in the 50 Freestyle to qualify, and senior Abby Feil swam 1:15.65 in 100 Backstroke and 30.48 in the 50 Freestyle.

The team will be back in the Towanda pool on Thursday, December 21 against the Black Knights and Elk Lake.
