Wellsboro Track finishes 16, 18 at Molly Dry

The Wellsboro Track teams took part in the Molly Dry Invite on Thursday, April 13.

The boys team finished 16th with 14.5 points and the girls were 18th with 13 points. Shikellamy (150) won the boys meet and Athens (103) won the girls meet.

In the boys meet, freshman Austin Richards was 7th in the 2000m steeplechase (7:49.03), senior Casey Hoover (20.40) and freshman Alex Burrell (20.45) were 18th and 19th in the 110m hurdles, freshman Silas Wagaman (12.34) was 18th in the 100m, senior Devan Warner (12.75) was 30th in the 100m, freshman Karter Witmer (53.99) was 24 in the 300m hurdles, sophomore Trevor Weaver (2:30.99) was 24th in the 800m, and junior Wyatt Dean (25.28) was 13th in the 200m.

Senior Dupree Hosey was 9th in the long jump (18-ft, 2-in) and Dean was 13th (17-ft, 6-in), Hosey was 3rd in the triple jump (40-ft, 1.25-in), and Hosey tied for 6th in the high jump (5-ft, 4-in). Hoover (31-ft, 8-in) tied for 26th in the shot put and was 27th in the discus (85-ft), and senior Brandon Lamphier (143-ft, 7-in) was 6th in the javelin.

Wellsboro was 7th in the 4x800m relay (9:40.44), 10th in the 4x100m relay (48.80), and 11th in the 4x400m relay (3:56.36).

In the girls meet, senior Chenoa Holsomback (20.89) was 18th in the 100m hurdles, freshman Caitlyn Callahan was 22nd in the 100m (14.46), sophomore Elizabeth Macias (9:42.96) and junior Anna Bleggi (9:43.09) were 7th and 8th in the 2000m steeplechase, and Macias was 9th in the 1600m (6:06.12).

Freshman Alex Chilson (1:18.04) was 27th in the 400m, freshman Savana Baltzley (55.93) was 8th in the 300m hurdles, Macias (2:49.71) was 22nd in the 800m, Baltzley (30.80) was 14th in the 200m, and Bleggi (14:16.78) was 15th in the 3200m.

Junior Cheyenne Sherman (13-ft, 5.5-in) was 19th in the long jump and Chilson (12-ft, 11.5-in) was 21st, Callahan was 11th in the triple jump (29-ft, 5.75-in), senior Hannah Lawton (26-ft, 3-in) was 22nd in the shot put and 7th in the discus (83-ft, 4-in), senior Samantha Spurgeon (76-ft, 10-in) was 13th in the discus and 7th in the javelin (98-ft, 9-in), junior Grace Feil (68-ft, 6-in) was 26th in the javelin, junior Jillian Graver (4-ft, 6-in) tied for 10th in the high jump, sophomore Dahlia Hosey (4-ft, 2-in) tied for 17th in the high jump, and junior Kaitlyne Kramer (8-ft) was 4th in the pole vault.

The Lady Hornets finished 10th in the 4x800m relay (11:22.12), 10th in the 4x100m (56.86), and 15th in the 4x400m (5:07.07).

The track teams will be back in action on Wednesday, April 19 at Towanda.
