Lady Hornets finish 5th at NTL Championships.

The Wellsboro Girls Track team finished 5th with 63.5 points at the NTL Championships on Friday, May 11.

Athens ran away with the meet with a score of 163.5, followed by Troy (110), Northern Tioga (103.5), Wyalusing (64), Wellsboro, Canton (53.5), Towanda (46), Northeast Bradford (44), Sayre (32), and North Penn-Mansfield (22).

Sophomore Caitlyn Callahan (13.63) was 2nd in the 100m, sophomore Savana Baltzley (29.8) was 6th in the 200m, freshman Alexis Banik (1:08.73) was 8th in the 400m, sophomore Kylie Butler (2:56.74) was 16th in the 800m, junior Elizabeth Macias (6:31.88) was 17th in the 1600m and 10th in the 3200m (13:47.84), senior Grace Heckman (22.11) was 8th in 100m hurdles, and Butler (58.99) was 13th in the 300m hurdles.

Wellsboro's 4x800m relay team (11:24.07) was 5th, the 4x400m team came home in 6th (4:43.06), and the 4x100m team of Heckman, Callahan, Baltzley, and Hosey (52.64) were runners up.

Callahan (4-ft, 6) was 4th in the high jump, senior Kaitlyne Kramer (8-ft, 6) was 2nd in the pole vault, junior Dahlia Hosey was 2nd in both the long jump (17-ft, 10.75) and the triple jump (36-ft, 10.5), sophomore Nina Coolidge (24-ft, 7.25) was 19th in the shot put, senior Abby Feil (71-ft) was 17th in the discus, and sophomore Lauren Singer (87-ft, 4) was 10th in the javelin.

Members of the team will be back in action at the PIAA District IV Championships at Williamsport Area High School on Thursday, May 17 starting at 6:00 p.m.
