Senior Madeline Gage and sophomore Chris Greenawalt each took home 1st place in their respective races as the Wellsboro XC teams opened their season against Canton and Sayre on Tuesday, September 13.

"Our boys battled it out until the very end when Chris overtook Max to win," said head coach Eric Kosek. "Our girl Maddie won her race with zero competition around and our JV took one two and three with ease."

Freshman Henry Whitney (24:25) finished 9th, freshman Robbie Bowers (25:27) was in 10th, and junior Tristan Lane (44:55) was 13th.
