Towanda tennis takes two from Wellsboro.

The Towanda tennis team notched a pair of wins over Wellsboro on Thursday, both by scores of 6-1.

In match one, in the first singles match of the evening Towanda's Matt McNeal beat Wellsboro's Tyler Kennedy 5-7, 6-4, 4-6. In second singles Towanda's Tyler Basse beat Wellsboro's Nate Redell 3-6, 3-6.

In third singles Towanda's Spencer Vasquez beat Wellsboro's Landen Kennedy 6-0, 6-0.

In the fourth singles match Towanda's Anthony Vogel beat Wellsboro's Noah Fritch, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.

Towanda's Ryan Risch beat Wellsboro's Noah Colton 6-2, 6-4 in fifth singles.

In the exhibition singles Towanda's Chris Buckley beat Wellsboro's Logan Morral 7-6, 7-5 and Towanda's Clayton Green won 6-1 over Cody Hartman.

In the doubles match Towanda's Jonathan Hoffman and Daniel Boardman won 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5) over Wellsboro's Zach Lundgren and Kyle Reese.

In second doubles Wellsboro's Ryan Stough and Tanner Runyan beat Towanda's Demetrius Hill and Dalton Carey 6-1, 6-1.

In an exhibition match Towanda's Clayton Green and Chris Buckley beat Wellsboro's Alan Hazelton and Adam Cornell 6-1.

In second match of the evening in the first singles Towanda's Matt McNeal won 6-0, 6-1 over Kennedy.

Basse beat Redell 6-1, 6-3 and Vazquez won 6-1, 6-0 over Landen Kennedy.

Vogel won 6-2, 6-1 over Fitch and Risch won 6-2, 6-0 over Colton.

Stough and Landen Kennedy won 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 over Hill and Carey and Boardman and Hoffman won 6-2, 6-3 over Morral and Reese.

In exhibition matches Hazelton and Lundgren won 6-4 over Green and Buckley and Green and Buckley then won 6-1 over Cornell and Aaron Quimby.

CV 4, Addison 3

CV's Nate Pickering fell 6-0, 4-6, 4-6 to Felipe Cain at first singles and Jamie Holman won 6-1, 6-4 over Zak Balsalen.

Matt Strauss of Addison won 5-7, 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (8-6) over Nick Caprio, while CV's Alex Abbott won 7-5, 6-0 over Tyler Housel.

Elijah Ace won 6-1, 6-1 over Addison's Spencer Baker-Hibbert and in doubles Addison's Jesse Plmlyee and Strauss won 6-4, 6-4 over Ace and Noah Nile.

In second doubles CV's Bryce Ianson and Riley Thompson won 7-5, 6-4 over Hjalmer Jacobson and Dalton Kirsher.

CV is 10-3 and is at Liberty today.
