Wellsboro, Galeton earn boys' tennis sweeps.

Wellsboro defeated North Penn-Liberty 7-0 in NTL boys' tennis action Tuesday.

At first singles, Tyler Kennedy beat Zach Fetzer 6-1, 6-1; at second singles, Noah Fitch defeated Zach Raup 6-1, 6-1.

At third singles, Nate Redell won over Hunter Draper 6-1, 6-0; Noah Colton beat August Storey 6-1, 6-3; at fourth and fifth singles, Ryan Stough won over Evan Berkihiser 6-0, 6-1.

In doubles action, Kennedy and Fitch beat Fetzer and Jonathan Nelson 6-1, 6-1 at first doubles, while at second doubles, Colton and Tanner Runyan defeated Storey and Zach Kerstetter 6-2, 6-2.

Galeton 7, Cowanesque Valley 0

The Tigers stayed unbeaten in boys' tennis action Tuesday with their sweep.

At first singles, Tyler Dugan beat Nathan Pickering 6-0, 6-0, while at second singles, Eli Trimbur won over Jamie Colvin 6-0, 6-2.

At third singles, Mitchell Smith won over Nick Caprio 6-0, 6-0; at fourth singles, Evan Griffen topped Alex Abbott 6-1, 6-1; and at fifth singles, Joel Griffen beat Elijah Ace 6-0, 6-0.

At first doubles, David Regis and Cooper Sunderlin won over Colvin and Abbott 7-5, 6-1; while at second doubles, Joel Brelo and James Quinn beat Caprio and Ace 6-2, 6-2.

In exhibition doubles action, Galeton's duo of David Steadman and Devin Hager beat Noah Neal and Riley Thompson 6-1, while Steadman and Anthony Ward won over Brice Ianson and Sterling Jolly 6-2.

Galeton improves to 4-0 on the year while CV falls to 3-2.

CV will travel to Addison today for a double header at 3:30 p.m., while Galeton's next match is at NP-Liberty on April 4.
