Gambrell second at Penn RelaysAthens' Breana Gambrell had a personal best jump, breaking her own school record, to take second at the prestigious Penn Relays on Thursday.

Gambrell jumped 19-feet, 7 1/2-inches to take second in a field of the best jumpers in the world. Jamaica's Tissanna Hickling won the event at 20-feet, 7 1/4-inches.

Gambrell was the top American in the field.

Another District 4 athlete, and state champion from last year, Maura Fiamoncini of Mt. Carmel took second in the javelin at 160-feet, a new school record and personal best.

In the college competition Mansfield's Kenzie Jones ran a 17:3.33 in the 5,000 meters, a 25-second personal best and the fourth-best time in school history. She is just the ninth runner in school history to break the 18 minute mark.
