Athens girls down Wellsboro.

Rachel Hutchison had two goals as Athens defeated Wellsboro 4-0 in NTL girls' soccer action Wednesday.

It was nearly a scoreless first half but with 53 seconds to go Abby Sindoni found the back of the net to put the Wildcats up 1-0.

Then with 21:34 left Ari Gambrell scored off a Hannah Blackman assist.

Late in the game Hutchison got her goals for the 4-0 win.

Brooke Warner also had an assist in the contest.

Athens out shot Wellsboro 18-3 but the Hornets had a 6-4 edge in corner kicks. Lilly Abadi made 13 stops for the Hornets while Madison Joslyn made two saves for Athens.

NEB 1, NP-Mansfield 0

Karissa Cowles netted a second half goal to give the Panthers the NTL girls' soccer win Wednesday.

Cowles got the goal with 59:42 on the clock.

"The Lady Panthers came out strong," NEB coach Michelle Cowles said. "During the first half the ladies maintained ball possession and had several shots on goal, but struggled to finish. The second half the Lady Panthers contained and pushed through to give us a goal. The game overall was well played by both teams and it was a pleasure sharing our Pink Out game with the Mansfield team."

Annaleigh Loziere got the clean sheet for NEB with eight saves while Sara Swingle had 16 saves for the Lady Tigers.

Towanda 4, Wyalusing 0

Olivia Sparbanie and Teagan Willey each netted two goals as the Lady Knights earned an NTL girls' soccer win Wednesday.

Both teams had 15 shots a piece while in goal Wyalusing's Lexi Schoonover made 14 saves. Towanda's Erica Locke had 12 saves.

Sayre 15, Williamson 0

Rozlyn Haney is the third player this year to score seven goals in a game as the freshman hit the mark in an NTL girls' soccer win over Williamson.

Jennifer Shaffer had three goals for the Redskins while Stephanie Klovekorn had two goals and three assists.

Lauren Krall, Mackenzie Wilkerson and Shayla Brennan also scored with Camry Lane and Abby Moliski each getting an assist.

Sayre out shot Williamson 27-4 and had a 7-1 edge in corner kicks.

Camry Lane made four saves to get the shutout for Sayre while Mercedes Bailey had 12 stops for Williamson.
