Notre Dame tennis tops Towanda.

Notre Dame boys' tennis opened their season at home Thursday afternoon with a 4-3 win over Towanda.

In singles, Notre Dame's Jack Kaffenbarger claimed victory over Ryan Risch in two sets, 6-1 and 6-4. Derek Tsang tallied a win for Notre Dame, beating Towanda's Noah Poll in two sets, 6-4 and 6-4. Demetrius Hill was the only Towanda player to be victorious, beating Mitchell Vargas in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, and 6-6 (7-3). Victor Tsang of Notre Dame beat Django Yrigollen to wrap up the singles matches. Tsang beat Yrigollen in two sets, 6-0 and 6-1.

Towanda won first doubles with the team of Dalton Carey and Jonathan Hoffman took Notre Dame's Andrew Finnerty and John Booth to three sets, coming out victorious after a 7-6 (7-2), 1-6, and 7-5. Notre Dame's second doubles team of Yoseph Tavakoli and Zack Tavakoli beat Towanda's Dominic Tavani and David Boardman, 6-2 and 6-2, and in third doubles Towanda's Zane Dotter and Tim Morrison beat Notre Dame's Frank Vasallo and Eshwar Venkataswamy 6-0 and 7-5.

In an exhibition match Notre Dame's Adrian Yang and Payton Mallon beat Towanda's Quinn Barto and Jayden Wise 6-0.
