Towanda falls to Bloomsburg in boys' tennis action.

TOWANDA - Towanda tennis lost to non-league side, Bloomsburg Saturday afternoon by a score of 4-1.

In singles, Collin Cruezek of Bloomsburg beat Ryan Risch in three sets by a score of 6-3, 4-6, and 6-1 in first singles. Bloomsburg's Theo Hintz claimed victory over Noah Poll in three sets, 0-6, 6-4, and 6-0 in second singles. Demetrius Hill was the only Black Knight to come out on top, beating Leo Schultz in three sets, 6-4, 4-6, and 7-5 in third singles.

Bloomsburg won the exhibition match between Cooper Harris and Dominic Tavani by a score of 2-1.

In doubles, Bloomsburg's Logan Chorba and Chris Michael beat Towanda's Dalton Carey and Jonathon Hoffman in two sets 6-4 and 6-4. Brendan Erwin and Sean Morris of Bloomsburg also beat Towanda's pair of Django Yrigollen and David Boardman in two sets, both ending 6-4.

Towanda and Bloomsburg split the results in the two doubles exhibitions.

Tim Morrison and Zane Dotter beat Alex Topsik and Thomas Yachiel 5-2. Bloomsburg's Tyler Kenney and Conner Schack beat Jayden Wise and Quinn Barto in the final doubles exhibition, 5-1.

"Unfortunately we came up short on a very even and competitive match," Towanda coach, Leo Harris said after the match.

"I'm pleased with our effort, but disappointed by the final outcome. We need to dig a little deeper, work on the little things and maintain focus. Bloomsburg deserves credit for their victory, but today was a tough loss," he added.

Towanda will travel to Galeton on Wednesday, March 28th for their next match.
