Wellsboro boys, girls reach Showdown final.

The Wellsboro boys and girls each topped Northeast Bradford to reach the finals of the NTL Showdown.

For the boys, the Green Hornets topped NEB 80-27.

Dalton Prough had 25 points, seven boards and two steals in the win and Brandyn Tuttle had 26 points and 11 rebounds, with two steals and an assist. It was Tuttle's 16th double-double of the year.

Joseph Grab had nine points for Wellsboro and Quinn Henry and Holden Kennedy had five points each, while Hunter Brown had four points and Collin Pietropola, Nic Ingerick, and Andrew Brelo had two points each.

Henry had seven assists and a steal and Pietropola had six boards, three assists and two steals.

Andy Crown led NEB with 13 points and Zak Smith had seven, while Chaz LaBarre had five points and Clayton Connor had two points.


Wellsboro 55, NEB 32

The Green Hornets got 23 points from Tory Self and Lizzie Poirier had 12, to go over 950 points for her career.

Cathryn Brought had eight points for Wellsboro and Emma Poirier had five points, while Rachael Tuttle had three points, while Luna Alexander and Mikel Shabloski had two points each.

Self had five assists, seven steals and eight rebounds and Tuttle had 10 boards, putting her over 800 for her career and she had four steals.

Lizzie Poirier had six boards.

Lindsay Moore had 11 points for NEB and Aaliyah Bevacqua had 10 points.

Emilee Allis had five points for NEB and Lauryn Jones had four points, while Vicky Rought had two points.


Sullvan Conty 53, CMVT 43

John Saxe hit a milestone for the Griffins in the win.

He had 21 points and seven boards, giving him 500 rebounds for his career. He’s the first guy in school history with 1000 points, 500 rebounds and 300 assists.

Sam Carpenter had nine points for Sullivan and Dylan Hottenstein had eight points, while Alex Baumunk had seven points. Dave Pardoe, Justin Metzger and Jesse Williams had two points each.

Baumunk had five boards, Carpenter had six rebounds and Hottenstein had four assists.

Sullivan County won the JV game 39-16 with Will Kiner scoring 10 points.

Sullivan is at Muncy on Saturday.
