Wellsboro tops St. John Neumann.

Wellsboro topped St. John Neumann 5-2 in girls' tennis action Wednesday.

The Hornets won all five singles matches.

At first singles Kristen Bair won over Maylyn Ettinger 6-2, 6-2, at second singles Abigail Colton beat Molly Foresman 6-2, 6-3, at third singles Georgia Macensky topped Brenna Minnier 6-7 (5-7), 6-4, 10-6, at fourth singles Kassie Lewis defeated Cielo Steinbacher 6-3, 6-3 and at fifth singles Ashayla Faulkner defeated Maria Johnson 2-6, 6-0, 6-1.

Neumann won both doubles matches.

At first doubles Ettinger and Foresman defeated Bair and Colton 5-7, 6-1, 7-3 and at second doubles Wellsboro forfeited due to darkness.

Towanda 7, NP-Liberty 0

The Towanda tennis team picked up a NTL win over NP-Liberty on Wednesday.

Meghan Mendler won 6-3, 6-0 over Isabela Clark at first singles and Kelsie Davidson won 6-2, 6-2 over Maddie Burd.

Emily Morris won 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 over Jena Koser at third singles and Cassie Swackhameer won 3-6, 6-0, 6-4 over Aubrey Griess, while Kerrigan Walsh won 6-2, 6-4 over Jasmine Tomko.

Lila Bowen and Bea Scott won 6-3, 6-2 over Maddi Schultz and Dainia Dawes at first doubles and Mecca Grover and Gracie Dietrick won 6-3, 7-6 over Lilly Dunn and Ashley Brubaker.
